Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information PPPPCM collects when you register for membership, and how it is used. PPPPCM is the data controller under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
What we collect
Full name, identity card number, date of birth, phone number, email address, home address, state chapter, last rank held and year of retirement.
Your identity card number
Your full identity card number is not stored. We keep only a one-way digital fingerprint of it, which cannot be turned back into the number, together with the last four digits so that we can identify you when you telephone the Secretary.
Why we collect it
To maintain the association's member register as required under the Societies Act, to contact you about your membership and its renewal, and to report to the Registry of Societies.
How long we keep it
For as long as you are a member, and afterwards for as long as the association's financial and legal records require.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your information, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. Payment records must be kept for the association's financial records; in that case your personal details are anonymised instead. Please contact the PPPPCM Committee.
